     Polywog already matches the efficiency of commercial propeller systems—and outperforms all prior robotic fish—with clear pathways for further gains.

     Even in its current prototype form, deployment is measured in tens of hours (using basic lead-acid batteries), far exceeding the typical 30 minutes to 3 hours seen in legacy robotic fish.
