The basic system should operate with equal efficiency both when being given power to propel thrust fluid and also to generate power from moving thrust fluid.
IT SHOULD BE POSSIBLE TO REPLACE TURBINES IN RIVERS WITH MASSIVE PHISH TO GENERATE POWER WITH REDUCED FISH MORTALITY. Much fish mortality comes from a pressure change between the top and the bottom of the power generator, though with turbines there is added mortality because the turbines are like a food-processor and because the outflow is extremely chaotic. A PHISH generator would reduce fish mortality, potentially with the same or similar efficiency.
